Labor Advocacy

In December 2024, the bus and truck manufacturer Lion Electric declared bankruptcy. While the company was placed under new ownership in May 2025, previous Lion customers are not currently receiving service or deliveries.
The Alliance for Electric School Buses is deeply disappointed by this news. The electric school bus industry is strong, but not all players make it in this market. Our focus is on the school districts affected by Lion’s bankruptcy. We are gathering resources, experts and best practices.
If you’re a school bus operator and Lion customer who needs help — or if you can offer guidance to other operators in a similar situation — please fill out this form from our partners at CALSTART.
If you’re an electric school bus advocate who needs support, please contact AESB.
